Hello!
Thought it'd be nice to start a thread in case anyone else is interested... My husband and I are expecting our first child, a boy, on August 27th. My husband has no real experience with babies, as he has only one brother who's only several years younger than him. But I grew up in a family of 5 (5 children, that is!), and basically raised my youngest brother alone. So I feel I've done it before! But even so, this is a first for the both of us! We're both thrilled, and now that I will be at the 7-month mark on Saturday, I'm starting to get really anxious---as is everyone else, I'm sure.
Figured it'd be nice to have a thread for everyone to ask questions or share concerns about being a parent for the first time... so introduce yourselves!

Hello!
Congrats on your own little bundle of joy
! Is there somewhere you can go to get a referral? Not sure where you live, but here in Edmonton, AB I had to go to a walk-in Medicenter to see a regular doctor, and he simply wrote up a referral that was sent out to OBs all over. And then when I was accepted by a doctor that fell under my request (I requested a female OB!), they called me with the first appointment they booked me. I'm really lucky though, my OB is four blocks away from my house!!!
Picked out any names yet? Are you going to find out if you're having a boy or girl? Again, congrats!
