DD has been invited to stay with a friend in Kelowna for a couple of nights in August, so DH and I thought we'd drive her up and find somewhere for a little mini-holiday for us ... any recommendations on where to stay?  I'm leaning towards the Delta Grand (but I think that's where the Bacon brother was shot, wasn't it?.. that freaks me out a little bit ) .. I'd prefer a hotel to a B&B .. just thought I'd check if anyone had a favourite place!

We're staying a couple nights at the Delta.  The other Bacon was also shot at in broad daylight in Abbotsford, so I wouldn't worry too much about that - it's not the hotel, it's him.  ;-)  I haven't stayed there but have heard good things. I'm also using a Delta gift card from Airmiles, so that's part of the reason I picked it.

We're going mid-August, so if you are there earlier, let me know how it is!!  My girlfriend lives there - and has stayed a couple of times there and says its worth every penny, very busy and loud and lots of people though.

You have plenty of time - they say 3 weeks.  I am hoping sooner because I ordered late!  Might not get it, was waffling about going or not.  If I don't get it in time, maybe I can sell it to you. lol

I will let you know how it is, and if any scumbag gangsters get shot there. There's still one Bacon on the loose....!  lol
